Notes: Tallest, flightless w. vestigal wings. Head & neck black feathers w. blue & white
skin beneath. Black patch around ear opening. Juvenile smaller, head/neck dusky black
w. dark grey skin. Chick striped brown & cream, incubated & raised by male alone.
Highly mobile, tracking seasonal rains. Forages for a variety of plants & insects.
