Notes: Large; long yellowish bill and legs; grey head, chestnut body.
Olive morph: NW Aust & some of Top End, olive-brown upperparts.
Chestnut morph: Top End, rich chestnut upperparts same as under. Distinctive call.
Frequents mangroves on coastal, estuarine areas. Feeds ebbing tide on mud banks.
