Notes: Small, grey-brown w. olive back & lighter underparts. Cap brown, creamy-yellow nape-
band & eye-ring. Ssp wombeyi larger, darker than nominate brevirostris, w. black-brown cap,
diffuse nape-band. leucogenys smaller, paler w. orange-tinged eye-ring. pallidiceps significantly
smaller, cap scaled brownish-grey. magnirostris is larger, darker than nominate, longer bill.
Common in eucalypt forests; usually very vocal & active. Forages in small groups.
