Notes: Big sooty-brown falcon; broad pointed wings, long rounded tail. Variable amount of
white on chin, throat, ear-coverts. Feathered “trousers” almost to the feet (which are also
white/pale yellow); cf Brown Falcon. Soars on flat wings. Flys w. shallow, rapid wing beats.
Pursuit very fast. Often takes mid-sized birds; all birds alarmed if anywhere nearby.
