Notes: Medium-sized petrel w. relatively long, broad wings.
Grey/brown upperparts,
pale face, black eye-patch, white belly, extensive
dark underwing bar. Dark leading
edge to wings. Active flight w. rapid
twists & turns. Breeds in summer on Lord Howe
(Balls' Pyramid) &
Norfolk Island & further east. Rest of year at sea; surface feeder.
