Notes: Mostly dull olive. Small crest. White submoustachial
stripe borders black chin & throat.
Call like "creaky cartwheel".
Very secretive. Ssp oberon (in mallee heaths) has longer wing & tail,
pronounced black moustachial stripe, than nominate nigrogularis.
Pairs feed in leaf, twig debris in
dense heathy scrub. See also:
