Notes: Large stately stork w. thick straight black bill, iridescent greenish black head, neck.
Female: yellow eyes. Male: dark eyes. In flight: white belly and mostly white wings w. a
central black panel, long red/pink legs trailing behind. Immature has darker upperwings,
dark legs. Juvenile has short bill, brown wing coverts, initially brown "woolly" neck. Mainly
singly or in pairs around tropical wetlands & ponds, tidal flats.
