Notes: An enormous "shovel-like" bill. Obvious bright orange legs. Male brightly coloured; has
female-like eclipse plumage, although eye colour remains distinctive. Female densely streaked
grey-brown head & neck; eye dull yellow/brown. Floats low in water. Feeds on the surface with
head submerged. Usually sedentary and found in large inland wetlands & sewage ponds.
